This Privacy Policy describes our practices with respect to Personal Data that we collect from or about you when you use our website, applications, and services (collectively, “Services”, “Clama AI”, or “Clama”). These services are provided by Cranto Technology Inc. and/or its affiliates (“Cranto”, “we”, or “us”).
This policy outlines how we handle your personal information when you interact with these services, including our use of cookies and similar technologies to collect data.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using or accessing any part of the Services, you confirm that you understand and agree to how we handle your personal data.
If you are a customer of Cranto, please note that this Privacy Policy does not apply to personal information, data, or other content that we process on your behalf in the course of providing our services (collectively referred to as “Customer Data”). In such cases, Cranto acts as a service provider or data processor, and our handling of Customer Data is governed by the specific terms and conditions outlined in the separate customer agreement, master service agreement, or terms of service that you have entered into with us. This may include, but is not limited to, data retention policies, security obligations, and access controls that are tailored to your specific contractual relationship with us.
If you are accessing or using the Services as an employee, contractor, or representative of one of our customers, please be aware that your personal information may be part of that customer’s data. In such cases, Cranto is processing your information solely on behalf of our customer and in accordance with their instructions. This means that we do not control or determine how your personal data is used — that responsibility lies with the customer who provided your information to us.
If you have any questions about how your personal information is being collected, used, or shared, or if you wish to exercise any rights related to your data (such as access, correction, or deletion), we recommend that you contact the customer organization directly. As a data processor, Cranto is not authorized to respond to individual requests regarding Customer Data without the express direction of the data controller (i.e., our customer).
We collect personal data relating to you (“Personal Data”) as follows:
Personal Data You Provide: We collect Personal Data if you create an account to use our Services or communicate with us as follows:
Personal Data We Receive from Your Use of the Services: When you visit, use, or interact with the Services, we receive the following information about your visit, use, or interactions (“Technical Information”):
Information We Receive from Other Sources: We receive information from our trusted partners, such as security partners, to protect against fraud, abuse, and other security threats to our Services, and from marketing vendors who provide us with information about potential customers of our business services.
We may use Personal Data for the following purposes: To provide, analyze, and maintain our Services, for example to respond to your questions for Clama; To improve and develop our Services and conduct research, for example to develop new product features; To communicate with you, including to send you information about our Services and events, for example about changes or improvements to the Services; To prevent fraud, illegal activity, or misuses of our Services, and to protect the security of our systems and Services; To comply with legal obligations and to protect the rights, privacy, safety, or property of our users, Cranto, or third parties. We may also aggregate or de-identify Personal Data so that it no longer identifies you and use this information for the purposes described above, such as to analyze the way our Services are being used, to improve and add features to them, and to conduct research. We will maintain and use de-identified information in de-identified form and not attempt to reidentify the information, unless required by law.
We may share your information in the following ways:
We’ll retain your Personal Data for only as long as we need in order to provide our Services to you, or for other legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes, safety and security reasons, or complying with our legal obligations. How long we retain Personal Data will depend on a number of factors, such as:
Our purpose for processing the data (such as whether we need to retain the data to provide our Services); The amount, nature, and sensitivity of the information; The potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure; Any legal requirements that we are subject to. In some cases, the length of time we retain data depends on your settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have certain statutory rights in relation to your Personal Data. For example, you may have the right to:
Access your Personal Data and information relating to how it is processed. Delete your Personal Data from our records. Update or correct your Personal Data. Transfer your Personal Data to a third party (right to data portability). Restrict how we process your Personal Data. Withdraw your consent—where we rely on consent as the legal basis for processing at any time. Object to how we process your Personal Data. Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. You can exercise some of these rights through your Clama account. If you are unable to exercise your rights through your account, please submit your request through clama.ai/contact or to info@clama.ai.
A note about accuracy: AI Services like Clama generate responses by reading a user’s request and, in response, predicting the words most likely to appear next. In some cases, the words most likely to appear next may not be the most factually accurate. For this reason, you should not rely on the factual accuracy of output from our models. If you notice that Clama output contains factually inaccurate information about you and you would like to request a correction or removal of the information, you can submit these requests through clama.ai/contact or to info@clama.ai, and we will consider your request based on applicable law and the technical capabilities of our models.
Clama processes your Personal Data for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy on servers located in various jurisdictions, including processing and storing your Personal Data in facilities and servers in the United States and/or Canada. While data protection law varies by country, we apply the protections described in this policy to your Personal Data regardless of where it is processed, and only transfer that data pursuant to legally valid transfer mechanisms.
Our Services are not directed to, or intended for, children under 13. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 13. If you have reason to believe that a child under 13 has provided Personal Data to Clama through the Services, please email us at info@clama.ai. We will investigate any notification and, if appropriate, delete the Personal Data from our systems. Users under 18 must have permission from their parent or guardian to use our Services.
We implement commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures designed to protect Personal Data from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no Internet or email transmission is ever fully secure or error free. Therefore, you should take special care in deciding what information you provide to the Services. In addition, we are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Service, or third-party websites.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or the services we provide. The most current version of the Privacy Policy will be posted on our website. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. By continuing to use the services after changes are made, you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
